LITCHFIELD -- After a relatively "routine meeting" Monday for the Litchfield City Council, City Administrator Bruce Miller said action by the council will slow down a bit during the last couple meetings of the year.

"It was rather a routine night, which is kind of nice now and then," Miller said in a phone interview Tuesday. "There was nothing that makes any real headlines, but every now and then you need those kinds of meetings."

Miller said that citizens could expect to see similar meetings for the rest of the year after getting some of the public interest topics settled earlier this year. For the remainder of 2007, Miller said the council would be working mainly on long-range financial planning ideas for the city.
