LITCHFIELD -- The Litchfield School Board rejected bids Monday to repair the roofs of the high school building and the Wagner Elementary building.
The projects will be reopened for bids, and the bids will be awarded at the board's March 26 meeting, according to Litchfield Superintendent Bill Wold. In reviewing the bids, the district's architect, Wold Architects, discovered that the bidders did not have a clear understanding of the scope of the projects, Wold said.
The cost of the project is expected to be more than $1 million. The work is expected to be completed this summer. The delay in awarding the bids is not expected to impact the work schedule, Wold added.
The Wagner project is roof maintenance, while the high school project is part of the ongoing $12.5 million renovation at the school.

- The board approved granting senior privileges during the last half of the fourth quarter. The privilege is that students don't have to be on the high school campus during their study hall hour.
- The board approved an agreement with the Litchfield Administrators Association, made up of the district's principals and an assistant principal, for 2006 to 2008. The agreement will increase the salary and benefits for the principals 7.96 percent over the two-year period, Wold said.
