DARWIN -- The Meeker County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a woman was pinned between a dump truck and a forklift at a business Monday night.
Michele Fjelstad, 53, of Litchfield, was transported to the Meeker Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of injuries, believed to be non life-threatening.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Fjelstad was still a patient at the hospital, listed in fair condition, according to St. Cloud Hospital Communications Director Jeanine Nistler.
The incident happened at 4:30 p.m. Monday, on the 300 block of W. U.S. Highway 12 in Darwin.
The sheriff's office said Fjelstad had been standing behind the 1985 Chevy dump truck when an individual had started the ignition. The truck then moved in reverse, pinning Fjelstad between the truck and a parked forklift.
