JANESVILLE, Wis. -- The Little Crow Ski team finished sixth at the National Show Ski Championships Aug. 11-13.

The Mad City Ski Team from Madison, Wis., won its second national title in three years with 2,154 points. Host Rock Aqua Jays, the defending national champion, was second with 2,093 points. The team from Wonder Lake, Ill., was third with 1,979 points.

The Little Crow Ski team recorded 1,817 points, just tenths of a point behind the Aquanuts of Twin Lakes, Wis., in fifth. There were 14 teams in the competition.

Little Crow put on two acts not performed by any other team. The first was a five-high pyramid, a staple of the Little Crow performance. The second was the "Around the Boat" act, with skiers Kyle Reich and Ryan Fader traveling in one direction and Nick Dahlen in the other.

The highest finish for any Little Crow Ski Team act was from the Jump Team, which finished second. Also performing during individual competitions were the Little Crow doubles, trios, swivel and barefoot acts.
