Little Falls comes back to tie Willmar

LITTLE FALLS - The Little Falls Flyers scored with two minutes left in regulation to tie Willmar 2-2 and that's how the Central Lakes Conference boys soccer match ended after a scoreless overtime Monday.

Willmar led 2-1 at halftime on goals by Luis Estrada and Joel Juni.

Estrada deflected in a corner kick by Joel Juni from nine yards out. Juni scored on a throw-in by Ferdi Geurrero that he headed into the upper left corner to break a 1-1 lead at 38:00.

"We played one of our best offensive halves in the first half," said Willmar coach Richard Courtney. "The second half was pretty evenly played without a lot of scoring chances."

Keeper Danny King stopped 12 Flyer shots.

Willmar hosts Sartell today, expecting another tight Central Lakes match. Willmar won the first meeting 2-1.
