WILLMAR -- Lloyd Albin "Drak" Drakenberg, 78, of Willmar died Sunday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar following a battle with multiple respiratory diseases.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Memorials are preferred to Calvary Lutheran Church, Rice Hospice or donor's choice.

He was born Nov. 6, 1927, in Paynesville to Albin and Elsie (Lewerenz) Drakenberg. He attended Paynesville Schools until 1944 and later moved to Willmar.

He married Delores Sanderson on June 27, 1948. They lived in Willmar. He worked as a locomotive fireman and engineer for 41 years for the Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroads. He retired in 1988.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He was active in the B of LF&E, Cub Scouts, Willmar Lapidary Society, and a member of the local Eagle's Club.

He is survived by his wife; sons: Douglas of Osceola, Wis., David of Willmar; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.
