MOORHEAD -- Lloyd Lidbeck, 79 of Moorhead, died Wednesday from lung cancer.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Moorhead with burial in Palmira Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hector.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
He was born May 11, 1926, in Bird Island to Hugo and Mary (Johnson) Lidbeck.

He married Dorothy Forsyth in 1945. He served in the Army in 1946 and went to Korea and was honorably discharged in 1947.
They moved to Portland, Ore., in 1948 where he worked at the telephone company as well as at a service station with his brother. He moved back to Bird Island and worked the farm after his father died. In 1959 he started working for Northrup King as branch Manager in Moorhead. He was transferred to Norfolk, Neb., and Rochelle, Ill., and back to Moorhead where he retired from Northrup King in 1985. He then worked at Knight Seed Co. in Moorhead as a broker until 1989.
His wife died in 2004 and he married Lucille Phillips in 2005.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Lucille; son Ron (and Kathy) of Apple Valley; three granddaughters; and one sister, Hazel Larson, of Merrifield.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dory, one sister and three brothers.
