KANDIYOHI COUNTY — Months of frigid temperatures and feet of winter snow have given way in recent months, ushering in not only warmer temperatures, but also a splash of color.

The recent warming trend has caused the region to burst into bloom in Kandiyohi County.

A rise in temperatures has also meant many outdoor enthusiasts in the region have started heading back out for morning strolls or bicycle rides on area trails and pathways.
According to the National Weather Service, the warm weather trend will continue into the early half of the week.

Tuesday is forecast to bring a high of 61 degrees with a 20 percent chance of daytime showers and a low of 47 throughout the evening hours. Wednesday will be more of the same, as temperatures will rise slightly higher to 62 degrees and a 30 percent of daytime showers.
