Eden Valley motorcyclist killed in Stearns County crash on Friday

A 59-year-old Eden Valley man died in a motorcycle crash in Stearns County on Friday.

EDEN LAKE TOWNSHIP — A 59 year-old Eden Valley man died in a motorcycle crash in Stearns County on Friday.

Michael John Holthaus died after losing control of his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle while apparently maneuvering around a curve while proceeding northbound on County Road 162, according to information from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. He apparently lost control of the motorcycle and went into the west ditch and rolled.

Holthaus was thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet.
