Single-digit temperatures couldn't deter the curiosity of a male ring-necked pheasant as it foraged for insects and seeds along the ground while searching through endless rows of chopped cornstalks along County Road 5 north of Willmar on Friday afternoon before a snowstorm brought an additional coating of snow to the region.
