WILLMAR — A fun-filled Willmar Fests event continues through Saturday. See photos here from Willmar Fests activities earlier in the week.

The remaining schedule Saturday includes:

7 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Willmar Fire Department Pancake Feed runs, downtown
10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Grande Day Parade, downtown
3-6 p.m. — Willmar Fests Ambassador Coronation, Willmar Education and Arts Center
7:30 p.m. — Little Crow Ski Show at Robbins Island
10 p.m. — "Works Over Water" fireworks.

It has been seven years since a housing study has been conducted for Kandiyohi County, and Willmar City Council on Aug. 1 approved contributing $12,000 toward a new housing study

U.S. Marshals Service officers and local law enforcement on Friday night in Dawson, Minnesota, arrested a suspect in a quadruple shooting in St. Cloud. Two other men charged in the same incident had been apprehended earlier.
Three people, including one incumbent, have filed to run for Willmar School Board this fall. Filing will close at 4 p.m. Aug. 16. There will be no primary in the race, and all candidates who file will participate in the general election.
Seth Larson, who shot a high-powered pellet gun during a house party, was sentenced to five years of probation, a stayed prison term and local confinement but credited for time served. The victim had to have a number of pellets removed, including one that lodged in his lung.
An event to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Maynard Lutheran Church will be Aug. 14 at the church.
A more aggressive approach to truancy in Renville County will require school buy-in. A proposal from the Renville County attorney calls for earlier intervention when a student starts missing school or classes.

Lake Lillian Fun Days featured a parade down Lakeview Street on Saturday, Aug. 6.
The Willmar School Board will meet Aug. 8 at the Willmar Education and Arts Center.
A 30-year-old Lake Lillian man was injured when the ATV he was driving went off the street and rolled. He was transported to the hospital. His passengers were treated at the scene.
