WILLMAR — A 39-year-old man was arrested on warrants Wednesday afternoon in the 1000 block of 16th Street Northeast in Willmar. He was in custody at the Kandiyohi County Jail Thursday, awaiting a court appearance on a domestic assault charge.

WILLMAR — A 41-year-old woman was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Thursday near 8th Street and Campbell Avenue Northwest in Willmar after a traffic stop. According to the Willmar Police Department media report, more than 1.4 grams of marijuana was found in the vehicle. The CEE-VI Drug Task Force also responded to the scene.

WILLMAR — A 33-year-old man was arrested on a warrant at 10:26 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of 23rd Street Northeast in Willmar. He was in custody at the Kandiyohi County Jail as of Thursday afternoon pending charges of second-degree burglary.


BLOMKEST — A four-wheeler used for parts and some hanging lights were reported stolen Wednesday evening from the 19000 block of Highway 71 near Blomkest.



WILLMAR — A northbound 2018 Chevy Equinox failed to yield at the intersection of Kandiyohi Avenue and 3rd Street Southwest in Willmar and struck a Harley Davidson traveling westbound. The crash was reported at 7:36 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the Harley Davidson was transported to CentraCare Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Willmar Fire and Willmar Police responded to the scene.

Latest crime and courts:
Juan Polanco-Castro, 49, of Willmar, who was convicted of two counts of second-degree assault-dangerous weapon for stabbing two women, was sentenced Aug. 2 in Kandiyohi County District Court to 23 months in prison.
