Six arrested, half pound of methamphetamine seized in narcotics investigation in Kandiyohi, Stearns counties

Sgt. Ross Ardoff, commander of the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force, said six people were arrested in three cities after agents executed search warrants on Monday. The investigation remains active and more arrests are expected, according to a news release.

WILLMAR — Six people were arrested Monday in connection with a narcotics investigation, according to a news release from the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force.

Brian Michael Johnson, 21, of Spicer, was sentenced in Kandiyohi County District Court to 10 years of probation and 90 days in jail, which he is currently serving. Prosecutors agreed to a stay of adjudication in an agreement that he plead guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

A 56-year-old parolee was arrested and is in the Meeker County Jail after CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force agents assisted the Minnesota Department of Corrections with a home visit in Litchfield Friday.

All six were arrested and charged with a "variety of controlled substance charges," according to the news release issued Tuesday.

Sgt. Ross Ardoff, commander of the task force, wrote that the six arrests took place in three different cities in Kandiyohi and Stearns counties.

Agents executed search warrants related to the trafficking of methamphetamine.

According to the news release, agents seized half a pound of methamphetamine, three handguns and $7,000 in cash believed to be from drug sales.

The CEE-VI Task Force was assisted by the Central Minnesota Task Force, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and other local law enforcement agencies in executing the search warrants.

The investigation is currently active and ongoing. Additional arrests are expected, according to the release.
