OLIVIA — A driver and his passenger were injured in a single vehicle rollover at 9:19 p.m. Saturday in Renville County.
Christopher Ryan Pederson, 42, of Blomkest, and his passenger, Tonya Jo Pederson, 40, of Blomkest, were transported to the Olivia Hospital and Clinics for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.
Pederson was driving a 2014 Kia Sorento eastbound on 830th Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway and into a ravine at the intersection with 340th Street, about two miles north of Olivia in Troy Township.
The crash is under further investigation at this time. Alcohol may have been a factor, according to the accident report.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Olivia Fire Department, Olivia Ambulance Service, and the Olivia Area Technical Rescue Team.
