Locations for Kandiyohi County Caucuses

Here are the locations for Kandiyohi County Caucuses.DFL Party

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Democratic-Farmer-Labor party precinct caucuses will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Precinct attendees will cast a binding presidential preference ballot that will determine the allocation of delegates to the Democratic National Convention for each presidential candidate.

Discussion, debate and resolutions on issues of concern to local residents will follow.

Minnesota residents who will be 18 years of age by Nov. 4 may participate fully in DFL precinct caucus activities.

* Bethel Lutheran Church, located at 411 Becker Ave. S.W. in Willmar, will be the caucus site for those who reside in any City of Willmar precinct, Willmar Township or Whitefield Township.

* Kandiyohi Civic Center, located at 432 N. Atlantic Ave. in Kandiyohi, will be the caucus site for those who reside in the cities of Atwater or Kandiyohi or in the townships of Lake Elizabeth, Kandiyohi, Gennessee or Harrison.

* Dethleff Community Center, located at 217 Hillcrest Ave. in Spicer, will be the caucus site for those who reside in the city of Spicer or in the townships of Dovre or Green Lake.

* The Lake Lillian City Center Community Building, located at 511 Lakeview St. in Lake Lillian, will be the caucus site for those residing in the cities of Lake Lillian or Blomkest, or in the townships of East Lake Lillian, Lake Lillian, Fahlun or Roseland.

* The Prairie Woods Elementary School, located at 17435 County Road 9 N.E. in New London, will be the caucus site for those who reside in the cities of New London, Regal or Hawick, or in the townships of Lake Andrew, New London, Irving, Colfax, Burbank, or Roseville.

* The Sunburg Community Center, located at 211 Isola St. in Sunburg, will be the caucus site for those residing in the city of Sunburg or in the townships of Mamre, Norway Lake or Arctander.

* The Raymond Public Library, located at 208 Spicer Ave. in Raymond, will be the caucus site for those residing in the cities of Pennock, Prinsburg or Raymond or in the townships of Holland, St. Johns or Edwards.

Republican Party

WILLMAR -- Kandiyohi County Republican caucuses will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at six different locations within the county.

Participants will elect a precinct chair, other officers and delegates and conduct a straw poll for presidential preference.

To vote and participate in the Republican caucus, people must be qualified voters in Minnesota, residents of the precinct, be at least 18 years of age at the next general election, be in agreement with the principles of the party and have voted or been affiliated with the party at the last general election, or intend to do so at the next general election.

* The Willmar Junior High will be the caucus site for the cities of Willmar, Pennock, Kandiyohi and Raymond and the townships of Edwards, Willmar, Dovre, Mamre, St. Johns, Fahlun and Kandiyohi.

* The Lake Lillian Fire Hall will be the caucus site for the city of Lake Lillian and the townships of East Lake Lillian, Lake Lillian and Lake Elizabeth.

* The Atwater Elementary School will be the caucus site of the city of Atwater and Gennessee Township.

* The Blomkest Community Center will be the caucus site for the city of Blomkest and the townships of Roseland and Whitefield.

* The Prinsburg City Hall will be the caucus site for the city of Prinsburg and Holland Township.

* The New London-Spicer High School will be the caucus site for the cities of Spicer, New London, Regal and Sunburg and the townships of New London, Green Lake, Harrison, Irving, Arctander, Burbank, Colfax, Lake Andrew, Norway Lake and Roseville.

Independence Party

WILLMAR -- The Independence Party will caucus beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Outreach Room at Ridgewater College, 2101 15th Ave. N.W.

There will be a presidential preference ballot.

Constitution Party

WILLMAR -- The Constitution Party will meet at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the Willmar Public Library.

Green Party

The Green Party will hold its caucus March 4. More information on locations will be available from the party closer to the date.
