HECTOR -- Lois Jean Ahl, 76, of Crystal, formerly of Hector, died Wednesday at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Hector. Burial will be at the Hector City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

She was born July 25, 1930, in St. Peter to Willis and Edna (Blauert) Hoyt. She was raised by Louis and Gladys Larson of Stewart. She grew up in Stewart and graduated from Stewart High School in 1948. She continued her education at nursing school in Minneapolis.

She married Ray Ahl on May 6, 1950, in Hector. They lived in Hector where they owned and operated Ahl's DX. Ray died in 1978. She moved to the Minneapolis area in 1981. She worked as a tour director in the travel industry for 16 years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children: Wendy (and Ernie) Trebesch of Princeton, Chuck (and Becky) Ahl of Vadnais Heights, Barb Ahl of Sebeka; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Kenneth Hoyt of Washington, Willis Hoyt of Underwood, Mike Hoyt of Florida; and one stepbrother: Ralph Larson Sr. of Hector.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and three children: Susan, Jeffrey, Julie; and one grandson.
