WILLMAR -- Lorain Elsie Worner, 88, of Willmar, formerly of Great Bend, N.D., died Wednesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Great Bend, N.D.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
She was born Jan. 20, 1918, in Great Bend, N.D., to Herman and Martha (Strege) Bohn. She grew up on the family farm and then moved into Great Bend with her family when she was 12. She attended parochial school near Great Bend through seventh grade, attended public school, and graduated from Hankinson High School in 1936. She graduated from Valley City Teachers College in Valley City, N.D., in 1938.

She married Ralph Worner on April 18, 1943. They lived in Great Bend. She taught school for 38 years and retired in 1977. They wintered in Mesa, Ariz., from 1978 to 2001, and summered at Hackberry Resort on Ottertail Lake. They moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1995. Ralph died in 2001. Lorain moved to Willmar in 2002 and was a resident at Bethesda Pleasant View.
She is survived by her daughter: Paulette Hentz of Willmar; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers and three sisters.
