CLARA CITY -- Loretta Lois Pieper, 79, of Clara City died Tuesday at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1 p.m. March 10 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City.
Arrangements are with Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Clara City.
She was born Nov. 1, 1926, in Crate Township, near Clara City, to Aeise and Marie (Groothuis) Koenen. She attended country schools through the sixth grade.

She married Arthur -Jaenisch on Nov. 27, 1947. Arthur died in 1982. She married Gerald Pieper in 1989.
She was active in the Lutheran Church women's group in California and Minnesota.
She is survived by her husband; daughters: Judy Best of Sunnyvale, Calif., Terri Jaenisch of California; three grandchildren; and siblings: Kenneth (and Francis) Koenen of Clara City, Vernon (and Ruth) Koenen of Watson, Orville (and Irene) Koenen of Clara City, Jerry Koenen of Washington, and Donald (and Beverly) Koenen of Long Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; two brothers and one sister.
