WILLMAR -- Lucille Eleanore Carlson, 89, of Willmar, died Sunday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar with burial in Cloverleaf Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to service at the church.
She was born March 9, 1919, Fahlun Township, Kandiyohi County, to Clarence and Minnie (Lundquist) Lindblad. She attended District 68 School in Fahlun Township.
She married Newell Carlson on Sept. 4, 1943, in Svea. They lived in Lake Elizabeth Township until 1947 when they moved to Willmar. She worked as a store clerk at the Svea Store and Reidel's/Hogans in Willmar until 1981. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and active on the altar committee, sewing quilts, helping with the Bethel Beam, Bethel Circle, Lucia Day Festival, and as a greeter on Sunday mornings. She moved to Sunrise Village Assisted Living in 2004 and later to Rice Care Center.

She is survived by her sons: Larry (and Gloria) Carlson of Brooklyn Park, Loren (and Jackie) Carlson of Edina and Bob (and Anita) Carlson of St. Cloud; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister: Dorothy (and Al) Ostby of Detroit Lakes.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003 and five siblings.
