MURDOCK -- Lucille Louise "Lucy" Olson, 73, of Murdock, died Friday, as the result of an automobile accident.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Burial will be at Bethesda Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Glen Flora, Wis., to Ernest and Anna (Metzing) Schwendemann. She graduated in 1952 from Starbuck High School.

She married Russell Olson on Feb. 10, 1954. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Swift County Benson Hospital, Fingerhut, Carlson's Manufacturing, Glen Oaks Nursing Home, Toro and Willmar Poultry. She also had a cleaning business.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she was in WELCA; taught Sunday school; and served on the church council. She was also involved in 4-H.
She is survived by her husband; her children: Kathryn (and Lennie) Vogelpohl of Murdock, DuWayne (and Shirley) Olson of Hutchinson, Diane (and Gordon) Larson of Litchfield, and Darrel (and Lisa) Olson of Cottonwood; foster children: Carroll (and Mary) Boe of Hammond, Ind., David (and Kerrie) Lassell of Baldwin, Wis., and JoAnne (and Craig) Bier of Mitchell, S.D.; eight grandchildren; ten foster-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Hilda (and Charles) Hector of Osakis and Clara Wiebold of Benson.
She was preceded in death by four siblings.
