BENSON -- Lucille Mary Minor, 85, of Benson died Tuesday at Meadow Lane Health Care Center in Benson.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7, at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
She was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Swift County to Valentine and Adeline (Bridel) Krattenmaker. She grew up in the DeGraff, Murdock and Kerkhoven areas and graduated from Murdock High School. She worked as a waitress.
She married John Minor on Sept. 29, 1943, in DeGraff. They traveled to different army bases. In 1946, they bought a farm. She was a homemaker and later provided day care for several grandchildren. She later worked at Fingerhut and as a cashier at Ben Franklin. She also did food and product demos at various stores in the area. In 2002, they moved to the Park View Manor in Benson. In 2004, they moved into Meadow Lane Health Care Center in Benson.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her four sons: Gary (and Rose) Minor of Minneapolis, Dennis (and Ann) Minor of Benson, Rick (and Sarah) Minor of Benson, and Pat (and Heidi) Minor of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings: Harlan Krattenmaker of Kerkhoven, Jean Dooley of Murdock and Bud (and Mary) Krattenmaker of Crystal.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter-in-law: Karen Minor; two sisters, one in infancy; and a brother.
