Luella E.L. Kugath

WILLMAR -- Luella Emilia Lena Kugath, 93, of Willmar, formerly of Watertown, died Saturday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Jan. 28, 1913, at Waconia to Herman H. and Mina A. (Hasse) Grimm. She grew up in Carver County, attending Trinity Lutheran School in Watertown.
On June 4, 1935, she married Henry Kugath in Waconia. They farmed near Watertown. After his death in 1973, Luella worked as a cook at St. Paul's School in Watertown. She moved to Willmar in 1991.
She was active with the Senior Citizens in Watertown and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she had been active with the ladies aid and quilting for Lutheran World Relief. In Willmar, she was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and had been active with the ladies aid and helped minister to shut-ins.
Surviving are two daughters: Carolyn Goldfish of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bernice (and Roy) McClain of Willmar; one daughter-in-law: Marva (and Roger) Janke of Oak Creek, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gerald; son-in-law, Stan Goldfish; four brothers; and one sister.
