MONTEVIDEO -- M. Ione Lanes, 80, of Montevideo died Tuesday at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Black Oak Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo, with the family from 5 to 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born April 6, 1925, in Mandt Township, Chippewa County, to Roy and Ella (Olson) Johnson. She attended Milan schools and graduated from Milan High School in 1943. She graduated in 1945 from Roger and Benner Beauty School in Minneapolis.
She married Robert Lanes on Oct. 27, 1945, in Milan. She ran a beauty shop out of her home until 1973. They farmed for many years in Leenthrop Township. They moved to Montevideo in 1998.
She was a member of Black Oak Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday School superintendent and teacher and was a member of their women's groups. She became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo, and belonged to Bible study, Circle and WELCA.
She is survived by her children: Sally (and Roger) Shaur of Bloomington, Dr. Tom (and Colleen) Lanes of Alexandria, Jerry (and Bonnie) Lanes of St. Peter; seven grandchildren; and two sisters: Barb (and Ernie) Dalen of Milan and Vonnie (and Dean) Thompson of Montevideo.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001 and one brother.
