MORRIS -- Mable Marie Ross, 89, of Alexandria, and formerly of Morris, died Friday at Knute Nelson Memorial Home in Alexandria.

The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Fargo, N.D.

Visitation is for one hour prior to the service today at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Silverleaf, N.D., to Edward and Ordelia (Schlinker) Woodfork. She grew up in Ellendale, N.D., and graduated from Ellendale High School. She continued her education at Ellendale State Normal and Industrial College for two years and then Moorhead State University, from which she graduated with a bachelor's in elementary education. She taught for four years in various rural North Dakota schools. She also taught in Longville, Benson and Moorhead.

She married Benjamin Ross in Moorhead in 1952. She retired from teaching in 1981.

She is survived by five children: Patricia (and Larry) Pearson of Sauk Rapids, Gerald Ross of Stewartville, Donald (and Sandra) Ross of Warne, N.C., James (and Susan) Ross of Dewey, Ariz., and Curtis Ross of Bloomington; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Jim (and Betty) Woodfork of Byron.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, a grandson, two great-grandchildren and a sister.

BENSON -- Mabel Louise Zielsdorf, 96, of Benson died Friday at Golden Living Center in Benson.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be in Benson City Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today and will continue for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

She was born April 6, 1912, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Richard and Lena (Shult) Brummer. She grew up in Glenwood City, Wis., and Danvers.

She married Alfred Zielsdorf on June 6, 1932. They lived on a farm south of Benson. She moved into an apartment in Benson in 1971. She moved to the Parkview Manor in 1980 and to Meadow Lane Health Care Center in 2002.

She served as Sunday school superintendent and was involved in women's activities at St. John's Lutheran Church for many years.

She is survived by three children: Anita (and Jule) Ost of Montevideo, Alice Korn of Clara City and Bob (and Linda) Zielsdorf of Benson; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Dorothy Moe of Glenwood City, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters.

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Lavon Nelvina Dragt, 82, formerly of Prinsburg, died Dec. 24, 2008, in Fullerton, Calif.

The service was held today at Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif.

She was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Sioux County, Iowa, to Dick and Louise Bonnema. She grew up in Prinsburg and attended Prinsburg Christian School. She graduated from Clara City High School.

She married Vernon Dragt in 1945. They moved to California in 1947.

In 1953, she began selling Tupperware, eventually building a successful company. She retired in 1990.

She is survived by three daughters: Mary, Ginny and Susan; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

MORRIS -- Doris Gertrude Telkamp, 87, of Starbuck, and formerly of Morris, died Friday at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. today at Minnewaska Lutheran Home Commons in Starbuck, from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

She was born April 29, 1921, in Renville County to George and Dena (Weltzin) Johnson. She lived in Morris and graduated from Morris Public Schools.

She married Luverne Telkamp on Jan. 3, 1938. They farmed in the Morris area.

She moved to Morris in 1989. In 2005, she moved to Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris and was active in the Women of Faith, Do Days Quilting Group, and the Women's Action Board and Memorial Committee. She also attended Homemakers Club and Birthday Club.

She is survived by a son: Bill (and Leana) Telkamp of Morris; a daughter: Donna (and Orville) Severance of Morris; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Norma Osterman of Morris.
