CLARA CITY -- The MACCRAY School Board has planned a work session on Feb. 1 to talk about its budget.
The board hopes it will know more about the state's plans with regard to education funding by then, said Superintendent Greg Schmidt.
School districts have already seen a delay in receiving some state aid because of Minnesota's projected budget deficit.
The board may need to make some budget cuts to adjust to some enrollment loss, Schmidt said.
Otherwise, it's possible other budget cuts may not be needed, he said. The voters approved two operating levies for the district last fall.

That money will be available in the next school year.
In its annual reorganization, the board elected Randy Janssen chairman, Lane Schwitters vice chairman and Debi Brandt clerk.
