Madson continues MIAC scoring spree

Bethel sophomore Tim Madson tore through three opponents, averaging 26.7 points per game to earn the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's men's basketball player of the week award Monday.

Madson, a guard from Redwood Falls, led the Royals to their ninth straight MIAC playoff berth with three wins. He capped the week with 39 points against Macalester Saturday.

He's tied for first in the conference in scoring at 19.8 ppg.
