WILLMAR -- A rash of mailbox vandalism was reported to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department early Thursday morning.
A total of 19 mailboxes were either reported damaged or found damaged by authorities in the area. The first complaint was received around 12:30 a.m. along the 6100 block of 45th Avenue Southeast. Three others were found to be damaged along the 6000 block of 45th Avenue Southeast.
The Sheriff's Deparment received another complaint around 7:10 a.m. along the 2500 block of 82nd Avenue Southeast. The duputy reported that nine others were found damaged from 15th Street Southeast -- south of Svea -- to 86th Avenue Southeast. Damaged mailboxes were also found along 78th Avenue Southeast.
The final report was received around 10 a.m. along the 5000 block of 150th Avenue Southeast in Lake Lillian. Deputies found four other mailboxes damaged in the area.
