WILLMAR -- The Main Street District Organization in downtown Willmar is trying something new during the annual Crazy Days promotion.
Main Street will give all proceeds raised by the sale of bratwursts on Thursday afternoon to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Organizers say the money raised will stay in Kandiyohi County.
"Our Main Street Organization decided to do a fundraiser for Relay For Life just to bring a sense of community back into downtown Crazy Days as well as to help out a great cause in Relay for Life," said Tracy Hein, manager of Petersons Shoes.
"We have many business people downtown that are battling cancer, and so we just think this would be a great way to help raise money for this event," Hein said.

Crazy Days, during which businesses offer merchandise discounts, will be Thursday through Saturday.
Brats will be sold from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the stand located in front of the Elks Lodge on Litchfield Avenue. Elks members will assist Main Street by cooking and selling brats.
Besides raising money for Relay for Life, Main Street will display a "hope and memory" board with pictures of people who are battling cancer or who lost the battle with cancer. The board will be on display at the brat stand and people may sign and write well-wishes on the board, said Hein.
