WILLMAR -- A Delano man accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old New London boy pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony charge of criminal sexual conduct.
Edward Eugene Dooley, 34, formerly of Rock Falls, Ill., was charged with four felony counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree after Kandiyohi County investigators discovered Dooley and the 13-year-old had made sexual contact in 2004.
On Wednesday Dooley pleaded guilty to one of the four felony charges against him.
The remaining three charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Dooley allegedly made a trip to New London in the summer of 2004 after meeting the boy on the Internet. According to the complaint, the boy told authorities that he met Dooley at the bowling alley in town before going back to the boy's home. The boy alleged that he and Dooley had sexual contact in two of the bedrooms of the home.

Authorities were able to trace a license plate number provided by the boy to an elderly woman in Rock Falls, Ill. The woman told authorities that her son -- Dooley -- now lived in Minnesota, according to the complaint. Dooley was interviewed by authorities in Delano in July.
Dooley is scheduled to be sentenced on the felony criminal sexual conduct charge Jan. 8. He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and a fine of $30,000.
