WILLMAR -- Willmar police have arrested one suspect and expect to make more arrests tied to an alleged aggravated robbery reported Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of Ann Street Southeast.
Officers were dispatched to the scene around 4 p.m. on the report that someone had been assaulted, according to a news release from the Willmar Police Department.
A man there reportedly told officers he was assaulted and robbed by two unfamiliar men at a nearby friend’s residence when he entered the home. The men allegedly held a knife to the victim’s back and punched him while they took his wallet and money before telling him to leave the house.

It was determined the victim did not need medical attention, according to the news release.
Officers continued to gather more information and arrested a 26-year-old Willmar man Sunday who is being held in the Kandiyohi County Jail.
The suspect faces pending charges of second- and fifth-degree assault, aggravated robbery and theft. He is expected to make his first court appearance today.
The investigation is continuing on this case and additional arrests are expected, the Police Department said in the release.
