WILLMAR -- A 21-year-old Willmar man was arrested Tuesday evening after authorities found him in the same car he reported as stolen.
The Willmar Police Department received the theft complaint around 6:30 p.m. along the 300 block of 150th Avenue Southeast. Several Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies and Willmar police officers responded to the report.
Authorities were later informed that the 21-year-old's girlfriend was not letting the man drive because she believed him to be drunk. The 21-year-old, his girlfriend and the alleged stolen car were later found outside of Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts. The 21-year-old was taken to a detoxification facility and arrested for disorderly conduct.
