Man arrested for DWI after ATV falls through ice on Greenleaf Lake

LITCHFIELD -- A 45-year-old Hutchinson man was arrested for driving while impaired after a Meeker County Sheriff's deputy and a Department of Natural Resources conservation officer responded around 7:15 p.m. Saturday to Greenleaf Lake.

LITCHFIELD -- A 45-year-old Hutchinson man was arrested for driving while impaired after a Meeker County Sheriff's deputy and a Department of Natural Resources conservation officer responded around 7:15 p.m. Saturday to Greenleaf Lake.

According to a news release from Sheriff Jeff Norlin, the officers responded to the public access on the lake for a report of unsafe conditions. A four-wheeler and a fish house had fallen through the ice. The ATV was at the bottom of the lake and the fish house was about 25 percent through the ice.

No one was hurt. The person arrested was identified as James Ronald Schlueter.
