Man dies, father seriously injured in Meeker County accident east of Kingston

LITCHFIELD -- A Cokato man was killed and his father severely injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:33 p.m. on Saturday east of Kingston, the Meeker County Sheriff's Office reported.

LITCHFIELD - A Cokato man was killed and his father severely injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:33 p.m. on Saturday east of Kingston, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Timothy Keskey, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger and father, Melvin Keskey, 86, was airlifted by Life Link to St. Cloud, where he is reported in critical condition.

Timothy Keskey was driving a 1998 Mercury Sable on County State Aid Highway 27 when he over-corrected after driving onto the shoulder of the roadway causing the vehicle to crash and roll over in the ditch near the intersection with 733rd Street east of Kingston.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Dassel Fire and Rescue, Kimball Rescue, Gold Cross Ambulance, and Life Link Helicopter responded.
