KERKHOVEN -- A man died in an accident Monday evening after his semitrailer veered off Minnesota Highway 40 near Kerkhoven and rolled.
James N Noram, 57, of Currie was driving eastbound on Highway 40 in a 2013 Freightliner semi, near 120th Avenue Northeast, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Noram was pronounced dead shortly after the accident was reported around 7 p.m. He was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and no alcohol was detected.
Responding to the accident were the Minnesota State Patrol, Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Clara City Police Department, Kerkhoven Ambulance and Kerkhoven Fire and Rescue.
