WILLMAR -- A 23-year-old Willmar man made his first appearance Thursday on two felony charges, for possessing methamphetamine and for storing meth paraphernalia in the presence of vulnerable adults.
Jacob Scott Forbord allegedly had a meth pipe at Divine House in Willmar and the drugs in his vehicle. He was released on his personal recognizance and ordered to have no contact with vulnerable adults or possession of firearms. His next appearance in Kandiyohi County District Court is March 12. He also faces a petty misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the complaint, an employee of Divine House called the Willmar police around 10:50 p.m. on Jan. 7 to report he had attempted to enter the residence, but found the door locked. An officer and Divine House supervisor, who had a key to the home, responded. They entered to find Forbord asleep and a meth pipe on the countertop. He was awakened and allegedly admitted the pipe was his and that he had meth stashed in the console area of his car. Officers did find a bag with a substance that tested positive as meth in the vehicle.
The complaint also notes that a vulnerable adult was present next to Forbord when he was found asleep in the home.
