GROVE CITY -- The 21-year-old Cosmos man officers are searching for in a Meeker County corn field is wanted for a knifepoint burglary.

According to Kandiyohi County District Court documents, an arrest warrant was issued Tues-day for the arrest of Devin Delbert Donald Blom for a July 8 armed burglary south of Willmar.

Officers from several law enforcement agencies are continuing to search for Blom, who fled into a cornfield Tuesday afternoon and apparently remained there overnight.

According to Litchfield Police Chief Patrick Fank, officers from his department, the Meeker County and Kandiyohi County sheriff's offices, the Minnesota State Patrol and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force were continuing to look for Blom this morning.

The search for Blom resumed, Fank said, after officers had contact with the fugitive in the same area where he fled in the cornfield, west of Grove City, around 283rd Street and 530th Avenue.

Blom fled in a vehicle and then ran into the fields after officers attempted to arrest him Tuesday afternoon. Officers had also served a search warrant on a home at 28132 County Road 25, just west of Grove City, and found controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and other contraband.

Blom is also wanted in connection to an ongoing drug sale investigation by the Litchfield Po-lice Department. Officers also located items involved in the Kandiyohi County burglary in the home.
