WAITE PARK - A body that was found floating in the water Sunday in Quarry Park Nature Preserve in Waite Park has been identified as Philip Royal Miller, 30, of St. Cloud.
According to a press release from the Stearns County Sheriff's office, the preliminary autopsy lists the cause of death as fresh-water drowning and the manner of death as suicide.
Miller had been reported missing earlier this summer and the quary had been partially drained and searched in an attempt to find him.
At about 11:20 a.m. on Sunday visitors to the park found the remains of an adult male floating in the quarry at the park.
The remains were recovered and taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
