Man who rammed apartment building arrested

WILLMAR -- Willmar police have arrested a 21-year-old man who is accused of repeatedly ramming an apartment building with a vehicle and injuring a person inside of the building.

WILLMAR -- Willmar police have arrested a 21-year-old man who is accused of repeatedly ramming an apartment building with a vehicle and injuring a person inside of the building.

According to a news release from Sgt. Rick Kleinschmidt, Luis Miguel Soliz was taken into custody around 9:40 p.m. Monday at Valleyside Town Homes in northwest Willmar.

Officers went to the town homes, recognized Soliz after seeing him through a window and later located him hiding in the attic. Jessica Ann Nichols, 19, of Willmar, was arrested for aiding an offender. Her first appearance on the felony charge is today in Kandiyohi County District Court.

According to police, Soliz stated he rammed his car into the apartment building at 16th and Minnesota Avenue Southwest because he thought the occupants had killed his dog. The incident happened in the early morning hours on Friday.
