Maple Grove man hurt in crash west of Willmar

WILLMAR -- A 47-year-old Maple Grove man was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash around 10 p.m. Sunday west of Willmar.

WILLMAR - A 47-year-old Maple Grove man was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash around 10 p.m. Sunday west of Willmar.

According to the State Patrol, Peter A. Nygard was driving a 2001 Saturn westbound on State Highway 40 when it collided with a  2001 Mack semi truck, driven by Houston A. Morris, 29, of Olivia, that was going east on Highway 40 and preparing to make a left turn onto 80th Avenue.

Morris was not injured. Also responding were the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Clara City police, ambulance and fire departments and the Murdock Fire Department.
