LITCHFIELD -- Margaret Louise Almgren, 94, died Sunday at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Burial will be at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and for one hour prior to the service at the church Thursday.
She was born March 1, 1912, in Darwin Township to Joseph and Ellen (Wynn) Hughes. She attended rural school near Darwin before graduating from Litchfield High School.

She married Fred Almgren. They lived in Litchfield.
She was a member of the historical society and the Church of St. Philip and the D of I.
She is survived by her children: Mary Lou Almgren of San Diego, Calif., Fred (and Karen) Almgren of Bloomer, Wis. And Robert Almgren of Litchfield; stepdaughters: Jean (and Richard) Danielson of St Francis and Beverly (and Clayton) Neuman of Hamm Lake; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Gary; stepdaughter: Joyce Peterson; four brothers and one sister.
