GROVE CITY -- Marilyn Althea Loven, 77, of Grove City died Tuesday at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be at First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
She was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Minneapolis to Lawrence and Mildred (Swanberg) Holm. She grew up in Grove City and graduated from the Grove City High School. She attended Minneapolis Business College.

She married Norman Loven on May 7, 1944. They lived in Grove City for many years and she worked as the bookkeeper at Holm Brothers Hardware. They moved to California in 1965, and then moved to Mound and she worked at General Mills. They moved to Dassel and purchased Our Own Hardware Store in 1971, which they ran for many years. They moved to St. Cloud and she worked as a secretary for the State Farm Supervisor. They returned to Grove City in 1990.
She was church organist and accompanied the choir at the First Lutheran Church in Grove City for several years.
She is survived by her husband; children: Cheryl (and Laural) Stafford of Grove City, Jeff (and Diane) Loven of Dassel; four grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and one brother: Robert (and Rita) Holm of Spicer.
She was preceded in death by her son: Peter in 1974.
