DAWSON -- Marilyn Joyce Bergeson, 51, of Dawson died Thursday at her home in rural Dawson, after a battle with cancer.
The service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lac Qui Parle Lutheran Church in rural Dawson. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson, with a closing prayer service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
She was born Oct. 16, 1954, in Dawson to Harris and Dorothy (Fousek) Lee. She graduated from Dawson High School in 1972 and graduated from the general secretarial program at Willmar Area Vo-Technical Institute in May of 1973.

She married Kevin Bergeson on Sept. 28, 1974, in Dawson. She worked for 3M in St. Paul. She worked at Chippewa County Family Services in Montevideo until 1977. She also worked at Johnson Memorial Health Services in Dawson. She received a medical secretary degree and attained a position in the personnel and administration area.
She is survived by her husband; children: Jayann (and Brett) Andrews of Montevideo, Ryan (and fiancée Malea Ehlenz) of Sartell; one grandson; her father of Dawson; and siblings: Diane (and Richard) Falk of Moorhead, Raymond (and Michele) Lee of Hudson, Wis., Roger (and Kimberly) Lee of Chanhassen and James Lee of San Francisco, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
