LITCHFIELD -- Marilyn Mae Nelson, 80, of Litchfield died Feb. 19 at Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
The service was Sunday at All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin. Burial was at the Dassel City Cemetery in Dassel.
Arrangements were by Hantge Funeral Chapel in Darwin.
She was born Nov. 3, 1927, in Meeker County to Wilbert and Esther (Nordstrom) Cervin. She received her elementary education in rural Darwin and attended Litchfield High School. She worked on the family farm. Then she was employed at the Darwin Bank and later at Northwestern Bell in Litchfield as a telephone operator.

She married Phillip Nelson on Sept. 18, 1949, in Litchfield. They lived in Litchfield, and she was a homemaker, later re-entering the work force. She moved to the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield on May 19, 2005.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.
She is survived by her children: Judy (and John) Dennison of Memphis, Tenn., Jan (and John) Wall of Litchfield, Jill Nelson of Brooklyn Park, Bruce (and Diane) Nelson of Golden Valley, Brad (and Vicky) Nelson of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Dale (and Verna) Cervin of Sandpoint, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
