RENVILLE -- Marjorie Christine Peterson, 82, of Renville died Sunday at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Renville. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Renville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
She was born Aug. 30, 1923, in Crooks Township, Renville County to Emerald and Sena (Hanson) Peterson. She graduated from Renville High School and completed secretarial training in Minneapolis.

She married David Odean Peterson on Jan. 7, 1953, in Renville. She worked as a waitress, a cook and later as a housekeeper at the RenVilla Nursing Home. She retired in 1998.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, active with the ladies aide, taught Sunday school and was also a member of the homemakers club.
She is survived by her husband; children: Greg (and Linda) Peterson of Rosemount, Rhonda (and Loren) Marcus of Renville, Michael (and Holli) Peterson of Lakeville; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
