PENNOCK -- Marjorie Josephine Malkuch, 84, of rural Pennock died Sunday at her home.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Assembly of God Church in Willmar. Burial will be at Salem Covenant Cemetery in Pennock.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
She was born March 18, 1922, in Mamre Township, rural Pennock, to Joseph and Emma (Johanson) Holmgren. She grew up in the Pennock area and attended 14 North country school. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1939. She attended North Central Bible College and the Minnesota School of Business where she received a bookkeeping degree. She moved to Montana and worked in an attorney's office.

She married Max Malkuch on Feb. 14, 1952, in Willmar. They lived and farmed on the Holmgren family farm near Pennock. She worked part time for the Kandiyohi County Highway Department for over 20 years. Max died in 2001.
She was a member of the Willmar Assembly of God, where she taught adult Sunday school, was active with missions committee, women's ministries, prayer group and VBS. She was also active with her home extension group, TOPS, was an election judge, and a member of the Association for Retarded Citizens.
She is survived by her children: Ross (and Joanne) Malkuch of Pennock, Rebecca (and David) Benoit of Willmar, Joel Malkuch of Pennock; seven grandchildren, and her sisters: Audrey (and Ted) Huisinga, JoAnn (and Don) Magnuson, all of Willmar.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother and two sisters.
