ST. CLOUD -- Marjorie L. "Marge" Berg, 78, of St. Cloud died Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids.

The service is at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, with a VFW Auxiliary prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred.

She was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Minneapolis to Otto and Hildegard (Brick) Lorinser. She grew up in Willmar and married Gene L. Berg on June 25, 1948. They moved to St. Cloud in 1950.

She was a member of St. Peter's parish for more than 50 years and a member of the Christian Women, Daughters of Isabella, St. Cloud Hospital Auxiliary and the VFW Granite Post 428 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband; her children: Mike (and Wanda) of Tallassee, Ala., Kathy "Casey" (and Robert) Palmer of Muncie, Ind., Jim (and Patty) of St. Cloud, and Jeanne (and Ron) Terres of Cold Spring; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother: Richard Lorinser of Eagan; and three sisters: Ruth Bjornberg and Bernice Lawler, both of Willmar, and Mary Nygaard of Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
