DES MOINES, Iowa -- Marlene Richard, 53, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Willmar, died Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, as a result of scleroderma.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa.
Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred.

She was born Jan. 16, 1952, in Grass Valley, Calif., to Delmar and Norma Buer. She lived and attended school in Willmar and graduated from Adair-Casey High School in 1970.
She is survived by her daughter: Talesaka Richard (and Ben Miller) of Des Moines; one grandson; her father of Willmar, and siblings: Jeffrey (and Wanda) Buer of Norwalk, Iowa, Gerald (and Kris) Buer, Jay Buer, all of Atwater, Jennifer Thompson of Belgrade, Ann (and Steven) Olson of Alexandria, and Joan (and John) Larson of Atwater.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Michael; and one sister.
