APPLETON -- Martha Louise Pust, 96, of Appleton died Friday at Appleton Area Health Services.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Appleton. Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton and will continue for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

She was born March 23, 1911, in Edison Township, Swift County, to Gustav and Martha (Groenig) Friedrich. She attended school at District 61 in Edison Township, and graduated from the eighth grade. She worked for her parents on the family farm. She also worked at Kaufman Hospital in Appleton.

She married Gerhard Pust on Aug. 26, 1937, in Holloway. They lived on her family farm in Edison Township. She moved to Appleton Nursing Home in 2001.

She was a member of Holloway Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Appleton. She served as a Sunday school teacher and vacation Bible school teacher. She was a member of the women's mission fellowship since 1946, White Cross chairman, program chairman, and choir member. She also was a member of the Edison Intenders Club.

She is survived by her children: Harold (and Pat) Pust of Milan, Eldon (and Shirley) Pust of Appleton, and Virginia (and Richard) Huppler of Watertown, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; a great-grandchild; one sister; and one daughter-in-law: Marjorie Pust.
