HANCOCK -- Mary Ellis Hendrickson, 62, of Hancock, formerly of Minneapolis, died Thursday at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood after a long illness.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at West Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
She was born Aug. 9, 1944, in Morris to Tilford and Ida (Berg) Hendrickson. She grew up on a farm in rural Hancock. She graduated from Benson High School in 1962 and received an associate's degree from Luther Bible Institute in 1964. She worked for the Board of Pensions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America for 37 years and served in the medical and member services departments.

She was a member of West Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hancock.
She is survived by her brothers: Ralph (and Irma) of Hancock, Alan (and Dolora) of Morris; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
