CLARA CITY -- Mary Eva Thissen, 95, of Clara City died Monday at the Clara City Care Center.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Clara Catholic Church in Clara City.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church, with a vigil at 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Clara City.

She was born Dec. 24, 1909, in Jamestown, N.D., to Felix and Helen (Rudnick) Kidrowski. She graduated from Verndale High School in 1929. She graduated from Valley City Teachers College in North Dakota in 1933. She taught in North Dakota and later at a country school north of Raymond in Kandiyohi County.
She married Leo Thissen on Sept. 21, 1937, in Willmar.
She was involved with the Mission Circle, the CCW, 4-H, Farm Bureau and her Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her children: Phyllis (and Jim) Levno of Graceville; Philip Thissen, Felix (and Rita) Thissen, and Joe (and Alice) Thissen, all of Clara City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Harry Kidrowski of Willmar, Robert (and Dorothy) Kidrowski of Pequot Lakes and Tony (and Angie) Kidrowski of Pennock.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985, an infant son, a granddaughter and one brother.
